Marc L. Spaulding, Ph.D., Founder, The Strafford Group

Dr. Spaulding is a highly skilled consultant to management who has worked with organizations in both the public and private sectors. With over twenty five years of organizational & leadership development experience, Marc specializes in assisting leaders with prioritizing, designing, and implementing effective and sustainable solutions to mission-critical business issues.

Dr. Spaulding works with executives and their teams to support a broad range of strategic initiatives aimed at building high-performance work cultures and teams. Solutions to the most urgent business challenges frequently include initiatives in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, project management, and business process improvement. Dr. Spaulding works also one-on-one with executives and leaders to address professional development issues that require expert, personal coaching.

Marc founded The Strafford Group in 1994. TSG is a management consulting firm whose mission is to enable clients to achieve critical business outcomes in productivity, profitability, customer retention, and employee engagement.

Taylor L. Spaulding, MBA, LNHA, Director of Marketing and Operations

Taylor has significant experience in business management, process improvement, and sales & marketing. Recently, he was head of the business office for a large privately-held skilled nursing company. He supports TSG operations, marketing and clients through finance & accounting, market assessment, sales program development, project staffing, and customer service. 

Susan Danizio Timmins, Senior Consultant

Ms. Timmins is a highly effective senior-level consultant with 25 years of service specializing in improving organizational effectiveness with leading global organizations. She has strong international experience facilitating senior management workshops, designing high-impact training systems, and preparing other trainers to excel.

Ms. Timmins is an expert in designing and delivering action-learning workshops aimed at transforming the knowledge, skills, and abilities of her workshop participants. As a professional facilitator, Susan has certified hundreds of master facilitators in client organizations to support and sustain strategic change initiatives. Ms. Timmins has worked with public and private sector organizations leading large- and medium-sized global and domestic projects in the areas of Leadership Development, Customer Service, Process Improvement, and Presentation Excellence. 

In addition, Susan has designed and led strategy development meetings, developed and facilitated change-management sessions, created team-building workshops, and conducted various process-improvement initiatives in multiple industries including consumer products, government agencies, finance, and technology.

Ms. Timmins has dedicated her professional career to adult education. She received her B.A. in Education from the University of Massachusetts and her Masters Degree in Business Communications from New York University.

Lois Sekerak Hogan, Ph.D.

Lois has over 25 years experience as a consultant and leadership coach in a wide range of business sectors, working with managers at all levels – from senior executives to front line supervisors. A hallmark of her work is her ability to maintain a broad strategic viewpoint and understanding of underlying business issues, while supporting leaders in developing the capability, insights and clarity to meet or exceed performance targets for themselves and for their teams, departments and organizations. 

Her results-based approach is grounded in a practical understanding of business dynamics and the importance of accountability and outcomes that support strategic business objectives and achieve sustained behavioral shifts.  A multi-disciplinary thinker, her coaching practice is shaped by the intersection of leadership development, applied behavioral science, adult learning, change & transformational technologies, management science, and psychology.  

Ms. Hogan’s areas of expertise include executive coaching, team and organizational development, change management, strategic planning, and organizational assessment. She has worked with a wide variety of industries including pharmaceutical, financial services, healthcare, petrochemicals, and government services. Lois holds degrees in Organizational Development and Human & Organizational Systems from the Fielding Institute. She is a certified executive coach and Meyers-Briggs practitioner.

Wendy J. Barnes, Senior Consultant

Wendy Barnes has over twenty-five years experience as a corporate executive, consultant and trainer, with a background in service, retail, manufacturing, government, and banking environments.  She has designed and conducted workshops on a wide variety of topics, specializing in customer service, consultative selling and sales coaching, team building, creative problem-solving, facilitation, emotional intelligence, and business presentations.  She works closely with client organizations to help them build internal alignment, address organizational development, and create a more customer-focused culture.

Before becoming a business consultant in 1990, Ms. Barnes was Vice President of Corporate Training and Development for an international service and retail company where she was responsible for the development and implementation of all TQM, sales, retail, customer service, and management training, overseeing 20 corporate trainers and 185 divisional trainers worldwide.  Previously she worked as a Senior Trainer and Internal Consultant for a large bank in New York City. She began her career as a psychotherapist, in the areas of drug addiction and domestic violence, working for several federal grant programs.

Ms. Barnes has been a keynote speaker for a number of national women’s symposiums, ASTD conferences, and delivered workshops at several international conferences for the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) on Customer Service in the MBA Environment.  She is also an Adjunct Professor for the business degree program at Peirce College in Philadelphia.

Ms. Barnes has an M.S. degree in Counseling Psychology from Indiana State University and a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College.

Jon has published extensively in the fields of social psychology, statistical modeling and measurement. Jackie Hall, Senior Consultant

Jackie Hall brings a unique combination of experience to her consulting practice, having been a line manager in one of the largest publicly-held electric utilities in the country during periods of systemic change, as well as an internal change agent charged with building a customer focused and performance excellence culture throughout the company.

Jackie has worked for over sixteen years with organizational leaders in the for-profit, education, and nonprofit sectors to strengthen internal systems and sustain lasting change. She guides organizations in self-assessment, strategic thinking, employee engagement, process redesign, and leadership development. She has presented skill-building workshops to hundreds of senior executives, managers and team leaders in topics such as: coaching for performance, managers as team leaders, customer focus and internal consulting. Clients range from Fortune 100 organizations to small privately held firms.

Jackie holds an MS degree in Management/Human Resource Management, and is an ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence. She is a former Examiner, Senior Examiner and Feedback Writer for the Malcolm Baldrige Board of Examiners, and served as Advisor/Examiner Trainer to the Louisiana Quality Foundation.

Richard Waks, Curriculum Consultant and Instructional Designer

Rick Waks specializes in the design of assessments, action learning interventions, and training curricula. His targeted workshops help clients achieve their most vital strategic objectives by focusing all levels of their organization on systems improvement, culture change, cross-functional integration, and leadership development.
